After flying high against Fitzgerald on Thursday, Thomasville came back down to earth. The Bulldogs fell just short of the Lowndes Vikings by a score of 6-5 on Monday. The Bulldogs' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Cece Myers made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to RBI, as she's now brought in three or more in each of the last three games she's played. Fallyn McDougald was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Thomasville's defeat dropped their record down to 17-8. As for Lowndes, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-20.

Coming up, Thomasville will head out to face off against Bainbridge at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lowndes, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Valdosta at 4:30 p.m.
