Softball Recap: Wayne County Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Wayne County, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Tattnall Square Academy Trojans on Friday, sneaking past 8-6. For the Yellow Jackets, this counts as revenge for the 6-4 win the Trojans walked away with the last time they faced one another back in August of 2024.

Wayne County now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Tattnall Square Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 3-2.

Looking ahead, Wayne County will be taking part in a tournament against Chapel Hill at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Tattnall Square Academy, they will challenge Harris County at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Tigers will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Trojans surely won't give up without a fight.
