Softball Recap: Northside's Win Ends Three-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Northside's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They never let the Warner Robins Demons get on the board and left with a 12-0 victory. Considering the Eagles have won nine matchups by more than seven runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Madi Burch, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with three RBI, one triple, and one stolen base. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in August. E'Vejia Burgman was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Northside always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .600. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in four consecutive games.

Northside's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-7. As for Warner Robins, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northside will welcome Central at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Warner Robins, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Howard at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Demons are facing the Huskies at the right time seeing as the Huskies are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
