Central came tearing into Friday's matchup with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18 points), and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Jenkintown Drakes as they made off with a 40-14 win. The Lancers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 20 points or more this season.

Central's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Donna Thomas led the charge by putting up ten points and five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Janai Bellinger, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and 13 rebounds.

Central's victory bumped their record up to 14-6. As for Jenkintown, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-8 record this season.

Central will venture away from home to face off against West Philadelphia at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Jenkintown, they will host MAST Community Charter at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
