Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Fountain-Fort Carson). Everything went their way against the Doherty Spartans on Saturday as they made off with a 24-2 victory. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Trojans considering their one-run performance the matchup before.

Sidney Lanier was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and two doubles. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Maya Aguilar, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, three RBI, and one triple.

Fountain-Fort Carson always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .647. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Doherty only posted an OBP of .467.

The win got Fountain-Fort Carson back to even at 11-11. As for Doherty, they are on a 16-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-20.

As of now, neither Fountain-Fort Carson nor the Spartans have any future games scheduled.
