Baseball Recap: Algona Takes a Loss

Friday just wasn't the day for Algona's offense. They came up short against the Fort Dodge Dodgers on Friday, falling 15-0. The Bulldogs haven't had much luck with the Dodgers recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Algona's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Fort Dodge, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Coming up, Algona will head out to challenge Clarion-Goldfield at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Fort Dodge, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Indianola at 3:00 p.m. The Indians' pitching crew has only allowed 1.5 runs per game this season, so the Dodgers' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
