Given Burroughs' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 108th, while Pasadena is ranked 529th), the result on Tuesday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Crescenta Valley scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 87-13 victory over Hoover at home. Considering Crescenta Valley has won four matches by more than 22 points this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Burroughs pushed their record up to 9-0 with that win, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Crescenta Valley, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.
Burroughs came up short against Crescenta Valley when the teams last played back in January, falling 63-52. Can Burroughs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
