Football Recap: South Point Comes Up Short

South Point managed to slip by Crest the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Red Raiders took a blow against the Chargers on Friday, falling 42-7. The matchup marked the Red Raiders' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Despite the loss, South Point saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Kaveaun Pless rushed for 121 yards and one score.

South Point's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Crest, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. South Point is set to take on their familiar foe North Gaston at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. That contest will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Pless and Keldon Williams. Meanwhile, Crest will square off against rival Huss at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
