After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Screven County, Metter was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Jenkins County War Eagles as Metter made off with a 17-4 victory. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won six contests by nine runs or more so far this season.

Metter moved to 8-10 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Jenkins County, their loss dropped their record down to 3-11.

Looking ahead, Metter will be playing at home against Calvary Day at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Calvary Day's pitching crew has only allowed three runs per game this season, so Metter's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Jenkins County, they will venture away from home to square off against Burke County at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
