Basketball Recap: Patrick Henry Comes Up Short

Patrick Henry has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They lost to the Fleming Colonels on the road by a 52-38 margin on Thursday. While losing is never fun, the Patriots can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 563rd in California, while the Colonels are ranked ninth in Virginia).

Patrick Henry's defeat dropped their record down to 12-6. As for Fleming, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-2.

Patrick Henry will head out on the road to challenge Del Lago Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Del Lago Academy's defense has only allowed 29.9 points per game this season, so Patrick Henry's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Fleming, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 52-38 victory against Patrick Henry on the 16th.
