Softball Recap: Fayette County Comes Up Short on the Road Against Mary Persons

Fayette County kicked off their season on the road on Wednesday and hit a couple of potholes. They came up short against the Mary Persons Bulldogs, falling 9-1. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it 11 in a row.

Fayette County saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was T Lathem, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Fayette County will challenge rival LaGrange at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Mary Persons is set to take on their familiar foe Troup County at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
