Walnut finds playoff glory versus St. Margaret's

With a playoff game on the line, the Walnut Mustangs rose to the challenge on Wednesday. They never let the Tartans onto the board and left with a 5-0 victory. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Walnut.

They hit St. Margaret's with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Vianna Alvarez (2), Adrianna Estorge (2), and Adrianna Link.

Walnut pushed their record up to 12-9-4 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored ten goals over those three games. As for St. Margaret's, their loss dropped their record down to 6-9-1.

Walnut will head out on the road to face off against Fairmont Prep at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Fairmont Prep's defense has only allowed 0.5 goals per game this season, so Walnut's offense will have their work cut out for them. St. Margaret's does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
