Basketball Recap: Claysburg-Kimmel Comes Up Short

Claysburg-Kimmel was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 77-25 loss at the hands of the Southern Huntingdon County Rockets. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 567th, while the Rockets are ranked 163rd).

Claysburg-Kimmel's loss came despite strong showings from Bella Francona and Erika Feathers. Francona posted eight points, while Feathers earned seven points and six boards.

Claysburg-Kimmel's loss dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Southern Huntingdon County, their win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-4.

Claysburg-Kimmel wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 54-26 victory against North Star on the 21st. As for Southern Huntingdon County, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 59-50 win against Windber on the 25th.
