Softball Recap: Cass Comes Up Short

Raymond Central hit Cass with a six-run third inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Wildcats lost 11-3 to the Mustangs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mustangs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-3 last Saturday.

Emma Rainey was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Cass dropped their record down to 7-18 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Raymond Central, their record is now 11-13.

As of now, neither Cass nor the Mustangs have any future games scheduled.
