Basketball Game Preview: Ramona Rams vs. Norte Vista Braves

Ramona is 8-2 against Norte Vista since January of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Ramona Rams will look to defend their home court against the Norte Vista Braves at 7:00 p.m. Ramona will be strutting in after a win while Norte Vista will be coming in after a defeat.

Last Tuesday, Ramona humbled La Sierra with a 57-26 victory. The Rams have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matches by 20 points or more this season.

Olivia Molina and Diana Najera were among the main playmakers for Ramona as the former dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten boards and the latter posted 12 points along with seven steals and five assists. Najera is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 14 games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Alandra Martinez, who put up four points and five steals.

Ramona smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in 14 consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, Norte Vista was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 72-15 loss at the hands of Patriot.

Norte Vista's defeat dropped their record down to 2-14. As for Ramona, their victory bumped their record up to 13-3.

Everything came up roses for Ramona against Norte Vista in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, as the team secured a 65-33 win. In that game, Ramona amassed a halftime lead of 35-9, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Thursday.
