            Softball Recap: Red Oak Tigers vs. Lewis Central Titans        
        
		
        
        
            Red Oak had lost eight straight at home, but  on Monday they dropped their record down to 2-17 to make it nine. They lost  13-0 to the Lewis Central Titans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Titans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup  20-1  on Monday.
As for Lewis Central, the  win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 21-7. Considering they have won 17 contests by more than five  runs this season, Monday's  blowout was nothing new.
For Lewis Central's part,  Cami Damgaard was a  major factor while hitting and pitching. She  didn't allow a single  earned run and  allowed only  one  hit over four innings pitched. Damgaard was also solid in the batter's box,  going a perfect 1-for-1 with one  stolen base, two  RBI,  and one  run.
 In other batting news, Lewis Central let  Aubree Davis and  Camryn King run wild. Davis  got on base  in all four of her plate appearances with two  stolen bases and two  runs, while  King  went 2-for-3 with two  runs, one  stolen base,  and two  RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of  Millie Chadwick, who  went 1-for-2 with two  runs and one  stolen base.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Red Oak will head out to  take on Glenwood  at 5:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. The Tigers are facing the Rams at the right time seeing as the Rams are stuck on  a  four-game losing streak. As for Lewis Central, they are taking a road trip to  challenge Kuemper  at 7:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. The Knights have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.94  runs per game on average), something the Titans will no doubt try to take advantage of.
