Waseca has gone a perfect 8-0 against Worthington recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Bluejays will square off against the Trojans at 7:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Waseca has five straight victories, Worthington has five straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Waseca is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Tri-City United [Montgomery-Lonsdale/Le Center] 49-6. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Bluejays' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota football rankings (they are ranked 31st, while the Titans are ranked 220th).

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Worthington and New Ulm, and New Ulm kept the tradition alive. The Trojans had to suffer through a 49-6 loss at the hands of the Eagles.

Waseca's win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Worthington, their loss dropped their record down to 0-5.

Everything came up roses for Waseca against Worthington in their previous matchup back in October of 2022, as the squad secured a 47-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bluejays since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
