Palos Verdes waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Mira Costa Mustangs, sneaking past 2-1. Given the Sea Kings' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked fourth, while the Mustangs are ranked 197th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Palos Verdes' win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-1. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 16 goals over those four matchups. As for Mira Costa, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-3-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Palos Verdes will challenge West at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Mira Costa, they are taking a road trip to challenge Torrance at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
