Recap: Cochranton Cardinals vs. Lakeview Sailors
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Cochranton Cardinals had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They managed a 58-52 victory over the Sailors. The win made it back-to-back wins for Cochranton.
Shelby Mcbryar was her usual excellent self, scoring 23 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Marley Rodax, who scored nine points along with four steals.
Cochranton is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-10 record this season. As for Lakeview, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-9.
Cochranton will face off against Maplewood at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Maplewood will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something Cochranton surely won't give up without a fight. Lakeview does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
