Basketball Game Preview: Murrieta Mesa Rams vs. Great Oak Wolfpack

Murrieta Mesa and Great Oak are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2020, but not for long. The Murrieta Mesa Rams will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Great Oak Wolfpack at 5:30 p.m. Murrieta Mesa is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.

Last Friday, Murrieta Mesa had to suffer through a 58-25 loss at the hands of Vista Murrieta. While losing is never fun, the Rams can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 756th, while the Broncos are ranked 326th).

Meanwhile, Great Oak posted their biggest victory since January 6, 2024 on Friday. They claimed a resounding 51-22 win over Temecula Valley. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wolfpack.

Murrieta Mesa's loss dropped their record down to 7-14. As for Great Oak, their victory bumped their record up to 6-12.

Murrieta Mesa was taken down by Great Oak 64-36 in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Murrieta Mesa was down 35-9.
