Soccer Recap: Los Angeles Comes Up Short

Los Angeles lost against Jefferson two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Los Angeles Romans lost 5-0 to the Jefferson Democrats. While losing is never fun, the Romans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 1100th, while the Democrats are ranked 458th).

Los Angeles' defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Jefferson, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 12-1.

Los Angeles does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Jefferson, they will face off against Dr. Maya Angelou Community at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. Dr. Maya Angelou Community knows how to get goals on the board -- the team has finished with four goals or more in their past five matches -- so hopefully Jefferson likes a good challenge.
