Soccer Recap: Beverly Hills' Run of Three Straight Victories Now Over

If Beverly Hills was riding high fresh off their 6-0 takedown of Hawthorne last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Beverly Hills Normans took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Santa Monica Vikings on Friday. The Normans were red-hot offensively headed into the matchup (they scored no less than four goals in the three contests prior) but the Vikings' defense proved too tough.

Beverly Hills' goal came courtesy of Chloe Becker, who's now up to two this season.

With the defeat, Beverly Hills broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 10-7-2. As for Santa Monica, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-8-1 record this season.

Beverly Hills does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Santa Monica, they are taking a road trip to take on Culver City at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Culver City has won seven straight at home, while Santa Monica won three straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
