Soccer Recap: Compton Comes Up Short

Compton has been on a difficult stretch since their win on December 4. They lost 9-0 to the Woodrow Wilson Bruins on Thursday. While losing is never fun, Compton can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 1090th, while Woodrow Wilson are ranked 250th).

Compton's defeat dropped their record down to 1-16-4. As for Woodrow Wilson, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4-2 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Compton is set to face off against their familiar foe Lakewood at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Woodrow Wilson will challenge rival Long Beach Poly at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
