Soccer Recap: Chaffey Comes Up Short

Chaffey lost against Don Lugo back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Chaffey Tigers lost 5-1 to the Don Lugo Conquistadores. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 813th, while the Conquistadores are ranked 261st).

Chaffey has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-7-1 record this season. As for Don Lugo, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-3-2.

Chaffey will venture away from home to challenge Montclair at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Montclair will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Chaffey surely won't give up without a fight. As for Don Lugo, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Ontario at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Don Lugo is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.3 goals per game this season.
