Soccer Game Preview: Coosa vs. Sonoraville

The Coosa Eagles will venture away from home to challenge the Sonoraville Phoenix at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Coosa is likely headed into the contest with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Model on Wednesday. Coosa came up short against Model, falling 3-0. The loss was the Eagles' first of the season.

Meanwhile, everything went Sonoraville's way against Ridgeland on Tuesday as Sonoraville made off with an 11-2 victory. The Phoenix have beaten the Panthers the last five times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Panthers has come to flipping the script.

Sonoraville's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Coosa, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Coosa might still be hurting after the 6-2 defeat they got from Sonoraville in their previous matchup back in February of 2018. Can Coosa avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
