Recap: Delano Tigers vs. Big Lake Hornets
The Delano Tigers had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 19.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Big Lake as Delano made off with a 28-8 win. The result was nothing new for Delano, who have now won three contests by 20 points or more so far this season.
Despite the loss, Big Lake still got an impressive performance from Wuoson Nehwah, who rushed for 119 yards on only 13 carries.
Delano's win bumped their record up to 5-5. As for Big Lake, their loss was their tenth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 1-8.
Delano will take on Mound-Westonka/Southwest Christian at 0:00 a.m. on Saturday. Mound-Westonka/Southwest Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three games -- so hopefully Delano likes a good challenge. Big Lake does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
