Basketball Recap: Dock Mennonite Takes a Loss

Dock Mennonite's game on Thursday was all tied up 21-21 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They came up short against the Renaissance Academy Knights, falling 60-36. The Pioneers have struggled against the Knights recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Renaissance Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Raelyn Jones, who went 7 of 11 on her way to 17 points in addition to five rebounds and five steals. Kasira Barber was another key player, dropping a double-double on 17 points and 15 boards.

Dock Mennonite's defeat dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Renaissance Academy, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-10.

Dock Mennonite does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Renaissance Academy, they will venture away from home to face off against Chester at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
