Basketball Recap: Salesian College Preparatory Pride vs. Swett Warriors
The Salesian College Preparatory Pride waltzed into their contest on Thursday with two straight wins but they left with three. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Swett 65-29 at home. With Salesian College Preparatory ahead 43-9 at the half, the match was all but over already.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Salesian College Preparatory to victory, but perhaps none more so than Madalyn Kanazawa, who scored 23 points along with three steals. Kanazawa has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Ayla Rege, who scored 20 points along with eight rebounds.
Salesian College Preparatory has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 15-9 record this season. As for Swett, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 14-12.
Salesian College Preparatory will head out on the road to challenge the Panthers at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Swett does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
