Football Recap: Western Harnett Takes a Loss

After flying high against Cedar Ridge two weeks ago, Western Harnett came back down to earth. The Eagles lost 34-12 to the Southern Lee Cavaliers on Friday. The defeat continues a trend for the Eagles in their meetings with the Cavaliers: they've now lost nine in a row.

When it comes to explaining why Western Harnett lost, don't look at Creig Matthews. Despite the final result, he rushed for 86 yards and one score.

Western Harnett's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Southern Lee, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.
