Recap: Heritage Christian Warriors vs. Village Christian Crusaders
The Heritage Christian Warriors suffered their biggest loss since November 17, 2023 on Tuesday. They were outmatched by Village Christian on the road and fell 77-44. Heritage Christian has struggled against Village Christian recently, as their contest on Tuesday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Alanna Neale was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds for Village Christian. Neale also posted two+ blocks for the first time this season. Another player making a difference was Sandrina Panaligan, who scored 16 points.
Heritage Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Village Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 14-3.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Heritage Christian will take on Grant at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Grant's defense has only allowed 29.8 points per game this season, so Heritage Christian's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Village Christian, they will be playing at home against Valley Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Valley Christian will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 736th, while Village Christian is ranked 19th).
