Softball Recap: Wayne Starts Season with Loss at Home

Wayne unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the Blair Bears on Thursday, falling 8-2. The defeat continues a trend for the Blue Devils in their meetings with the Bears: they've now lost six in a row.

Wayne saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Reagan McGuire, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Wayne has already played their next game, an 11-0 victory against Ord on the 23rd. As for Blair, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 10-3 win against Lincoln North Star on the 22nd.
