Soccer Game Preview: Creston vs. Kuemper

The Creston Panthers will square off against the Kuemper Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Creston had been on a three-game streak of scoring at least four goals, but Harlan put an end to it on Friday. The Panthers fell just short of the Cyclones by a score of 1-0. The defeat continues a trend for Creston in their meetings with Harlan: they've now lost eight in a row.

Meanwhile, Kuemper kept a clean sheet against East Sac County on Tuesday. They blew past the Raiders 7-0. Kuemper might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three contests by seven goals or more this season.

Kuemper's victory bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Creston, their loss dropped their record down to 3-6.

Creston skirted past Kuemper 1-0 when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Knights have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
