Discovery Canyon lost against Pueblo Central last Saturday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Thunder fell 11-8 to the Wildcats. Even though they lost, the Thunder's still made a splash at the plate and bumped their average scoring up to 6.2 runs per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).

Izzie Ackerman led a balanced group of hitters, going 1-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Taylor McCann was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

This is the second loss in a row for Discovery Canyon and nudges their season record down to 7-17. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.5 runs over those games. As for Pueblo Central, their win bumped their record up to 20-4.

Discovery Canyon wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, an 11-9 defeat against Mead on the 18th. As for Pueblo Central, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 12-2 loss against Severance on the 18th.
