Softball Recap: Union Grove's Loss Ends Six-Game Winning Streak at Home

Union Grove suffered their closest loss since August 12th on Monday. They fell just short of the Westminster Wildcats by a score of 6-4. The Wolverines were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Wildcats earlier this season, when they won 4-3.

Union Grove got a good showing from Alisha Cattuzzo, who pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits.

At the plate, Kamryn Matthews was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two RBI, and one double. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season. Another player making a difference was Riley Mote, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one double.

Union Grove's defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 18-6. As for Westminster, the win got them back to even at 14-14.

As of now, neither Union Grove nor the Wildcats have any future games scheduled.
