Softball Recap: West Forsyth Wins Going Away Against St. Pius X Catholic + How To Watch

West Forsyth came out on top against St. Pius X Catholic on Saturday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run first inning. The Wolverines were the clear victors by a 9-2 margin over the Golden Lions. The Wolverines might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by seven runs or more this season.

Tenley Lynch was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. That's the most runs she has posted since back in August of 2024. Maren Moskau was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one double.

West Forsyth's victory bumped their record up to 6-7. As for St. Pius X Catholic, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Forsyth will face off against Dawson County at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The Wolverines' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Tigers have averaged an impressive 7.4 runs per game this season. As for St. Pius X Catholic, they will head out on the road to challenge Westminster at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Wildcats' pitching crew has only allowed three runs per game this season, so the Golden Lions' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
