Baseball Game Preview: Southeastern Panthers vs. Belpre Golden Eagles

The Southeastern Panthers will be taking part in a tournament against the Belpre Golden Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Belpre took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Southeastern, who comes in off a win.

Southeastern barely beat St. Joseph Central the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Panthers were the clear victors by a 17-4 margin over the Flyers on Thursday. The Panthers not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since March 30th (when they won 19-0).

Meanwhile, Belpre was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They fell 3-0 to Vinton County.

Southeastern has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-8 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Belpre, their loss dropped their record down to 2-18.
