St. Pius X dropped down to 3-2 on Friday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They were outmatched by the St. Thomas Catholic Eagles and fell 35-6. The matchup marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

As for St. Thomas Catholic, they pushed their record up to 3-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. The home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 38.5 points over those games.

This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Myles Stewart and Javaughn Waldron. Stewart gained 124 total yards and two touchdowns while Waldron rushed for 86 yards and a pair of TDs on only 12 carries. The dominant performance also gave Stewart a new career-high in rushing touchdowns (two).
