Brayden Becker was his usual excellent self, picking up 140 receiving yards and one touchdown.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Eden Valley-Watkins' defense and their three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Nick Becker, Landon McCann, and Jack Maile, who each picked up one sack apiece.

Meanwhile, Holdingford didn't have too much trouble with Barnesville on Friday as they won 40-24. Given the Huskers' advantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota football rankings (they are ranked first, while the Trojans are ranked 58th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Eden Valley-Watkins' record now sits at 9-2. As for Holdingford, their record is now 12-0.

Eden Valley-Watkins came up short against Holdingford in their previous meeting back in September, falling 12-8. Can the Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
