Baseball Game Preview: Northeast Raiders vs. Twiggs County Cobras

The Northeast Raiders will face off against the Twiggs County Cobras at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Northeast fell victim to Bleckley County and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They came up short against the Royals, falling 15-0. That's two games in a row now that the Raiders have lost by exactly 15 runs.

Meanwhile, Twiggs County was not able to break out of their rough patch last Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 21-0 to Montgomery County.

Twiggs County's defeat dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Northeast, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season.

Everything went Northeast's way against Twiggs County when the teams last played back in February of 2022, as Northeast made off with a 15-0 victory. Will the Raiders repeat their success, or do the Cobras have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
