Smith Center put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past the Thomas More Prep-Marian Monarchs 42-21. The Redmen have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Monarchs, too.

Smith Center's record is now 5-0. As for Thomas More Prep-Marian, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 2-2.

Coming up, Smith Center will challenge Ulysses at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Thomas More Prep-Marian, they will face off against Oakley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Monarchs will be up against the Plainsmen's rather soft defense (which has allowed 28 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
