Soccer Recap: Poly Comes Up Short

After flying high against Monroe last Wednesday, Poly came back down to earth. The Poly Parrots came up short against the Verdugo Hills Dons on Friday, falling 4-1. The defeat continues a trend for the Parrots in their matchups with the Dons: they've now lost six in a row.

Poly's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Verdugo Hills, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-5-1.

Poly has already played their next contest (against Arleta), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Verdugo Hills will challenge North Hollywood at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. North Hollywood will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Verdugo Hills surely won't give up without a fight.
