Basketball Recap: Irvine Has No Trouble Against University

Irvine's game last Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They blew past the University Trojans 54-28. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 61-35 two weeks ago.

When it comes to explaining why University lost, don't look at Julia Holmes. Despite the final result, she posted ten points in addition to eight boards and three blocks. Another player making a difference was Asha Highsmith, who put up six points.

Irvine is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-10 record this season. As for University, they dropped their record down to 6-19 with the defeat, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.

As of now, neither Irvine nor University have any future games scheduled.
