Soccer Recap: Valwood Comes Up Short at Home Against Bainbridge

Valwood unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-pitch advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of the Bainbridge Bearcats by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. The Valiants haven't had much luck with the Bearcats recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Everett Baxter and Jed Respess scored both of Valwood's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

The win made it two in a row for Bainbridge and bumps their season record up to 2-1.

Valwood will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Berrien at 7:00 p.m. on March 4th. As for Bainbridge, they will challenge Dothan at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
