Baseball Game Preview: KIPP Atlanta Collegiate Warriors vs. Washington Bulldogs

For the second straight game, KIPP Atlanta Collegiate will face off against Washington. The Warriors will take on the Bulldogs at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

KIPP Atlanta Collegiate took a loss when they played away from home two weeks ago, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 14-1 margin over Washington. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Glen Spencer made a big impact no matter where he played. He struck out nine batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring four runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Those four runs gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Christian Alexander was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing five bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Those five stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Alvin Garret Jr. was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing six bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

KIPP Atlanta Collegiate always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .719. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
