Guthrie added to the longest winning streak in 5A District 2 this week by beating Chickasha, 40-3. The victory was the 11th in a row for the Bluejays.
Bishop McGuinness scaled the state rankings by moving to 46 from 72 this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Fighting Irish climbed the ranks as a result of losing to Lakeville South 29-6.
6-foot-0 quarterback Steven Thompson of Carl Albert is the league leader in passing yards this season with 1,263. He has also thrown 14 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is Fre'Darian Ashley. The Northwest Classen star has 43 catches for 634 yards.
The Titans' Chantz Woodberry is a mere 99 yards away from breaking the 1,000-rushing-yards mark for the season. In 111 carries Woodberry has put up 901 yards this year.
Guthrie led the league in scoring this week after putting up 40 points on the Fighting Chicks.
