Baseball Recap: Southeast Whitfield County Takes a Loss

Southeast Whitfield County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They came up short against the Cass Colonels, falling 14-4. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Colonels this season, with their most recent loss being a 17-2 defeat on Friday.

Tucker Townsend made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Southeast Whitfield County's loss dropped their record down to 4-17. As for Cass, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-10.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Southeast Whitfield County is set to take on their familiar foe Dalton at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Cass will square off against rival Allatoona at 5:55 p.m. on Tuesday.
