After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Sanger, Community was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They blew past the Western Hills Cougars 45-7. The Braves' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Community's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Grayson Calloway, who threw for 441 yards and five TDs while completing 83.9% of his passes. Cash Elston also helped out as he racked up 225 receiving yards.
Community didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Carson Bessa. Community got some further help from Abbott Grayson: he made 12 total tackles (2.0 for loss).
