Softball Recap: O'neill Has No Trouble Against Ord

O'Neill never got on the board in their matchup on Saturday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Ord on Saturday. They put the hurt on the Chanticleers with a sharp 11-0 victory. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by six runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on Jozy York, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Those two runs gave her a new career-high. Aubrey Blackburn was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base.

The win got O'Neill back to even at 8-8. As for Ord, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-12.

O'Neill has already played their next game, a 15-0 victory against Lexington on the 13th. As for Ord, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 7-0 win against Hershey on the 13th.
