Softball Recap: Starmont Comes Up Short

After flying high against Clayton-Ridge on Monday, Starmont came back down to earth. The Stars lost 9-2 to the Wapsie Valley Warriors on Wednesday.

Starmont's loss dropped their record down to 8-23. As for Wapsie Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 27-4 record this season.

Starmont does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Wapsie Valley, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 10-5 victory against Calamus-Wheatland on the 12th.
