Basketball Recap: Farmersville Gets the Win

Mira Monte came into Saturday's match looking for another win against Farmersville, but Janessa Garza wouldn't allow it. The Farmersville Aztecs came out on top against the Mira Monte Lions by a score of 35-24 on Saturday thanks in part to Garza, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 12 games she's played dating back to last season.

Farmersville now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Mira Monte, their loss was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-9.

Farmersville will head out to face off against Corcoran at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mira Monte, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Highland at 4:00 p.m.
